Greetings fellow parishioners:We may be wilting in the summer heat and humidity, but the flowers love it! As you may have noticed, there have been some changes in our parish gardens. The overgrown arborvitae have been removed from the front entrance and replaced with rock gardens, a mini-lilac, Rose-of-Sharon, and two butterfly bushes. Some new perennials were planted and then the volunteer Spider Plants appeared...we gardeners have very limited control over Mother Nature! The Spiders Plants are colorful, even if they're not in the best location. The base for our new granite bird bath has been taken to Stephen Roy Monuments for en-graving...watch for its return with a very special memorial message. Thanks to Mary Osborne and Sue Fleig for their help… many hands make light work. As a reminder about Altar Flowers. During most of the year we decorate the altar in the church with fresh flowers. During Lent when the season is more subdued, flowers are avoided, with the exception of Rose Sunday, the fourth Sunday in Lent. During Advent we generally decorate the altar with holly and evergreens The Altar Flowers are made possible because of your donations. Suggested donation is still $35.00 It may be directed to the Treasurer and checks made out to Trinity Anglican Church with "Altar Flowers" on the memo line. Be sure to include a note indicating on which Sunday you wish to have a notice in the bulletin as a memorial or celebration. It's best, but not absolutely necessary, to get your notice and donation in 3 weeks prior to your chosen Sunday. If you would like to donate flowers for a particular Sunday, you can also “reserve” that Sunday using The Flower Chart in the Narthex. On occasion, there may be several people who wish to donate for flowers. We will do our best to accommodate the request. God bless,Sue Goebel
